[edit] Yamaso no Oni

  • Renamed from Oni no Yamaso. [MRP, Gold Edition]

[edit] Yasuki Taka (Experienced)

  • Does not remove the restriction that all gold generated must be spent on one thing, because that restriction is in the rulebook and Taka only removes restrictions on the holding.

[edit] Yasuki Taka (Experienced 2)

  • Does not affect Holdings that cannot pay for variable-cost cards. [ZF, DW]
  • Side effects caused by paying for a particular card type do not carry over if payment is made on another card type. E.g., Corrupted Dojo (Fire and Shadow) only gives the Shadowlands keyword to Shugenja. [ZF, 21 May 2000; Clarified, BC, 06 August 2008]

[edit] Yasuki Trader

  • Should read, "Yasuki Trader 2G Retainer. Bow Yasuki Trader to produce 2 Gold. Limited: Bow Yasuki Trader to search your Fate discard pile for an Item. Show it to all players, then shuffle it into your deck." [Erratum, JA, 5 December 2003]

[edit] Yazaki

  • Does not prevent his controller from looking at his own hand or other face-down cards. [BC, 06 August 2008]
  • Prevents effects that would cause players' hands to be face up (e.g., Bayushi Paneki, Experienced 2). [ZF, 09 April 2005]

[edit] Yodin Sensei

  • Checks for all Personalities entering play, including created Personalities (e.g., Summon Undead Champion). [Reversal, JA, 5 October 2000]
  • You may not bring a second Personality into play if the first you bring into play causes you to be tied for "the most" Personalities. [JA, 8 October 2000] However, this will not prevent multiple Personalities entering play simultaneously if you otherwise meet the conditions for bringing one into play. [ML, 08 June 2005]
  • You may still redirect or choose other players' targeting that would otherwise have been done by that player (e.g., Dark Oracle of Air, Misdirection). [JA, 22 February 2001; Clarified, BC, 07 August 2008]
  • Does not prohibit targeting unbought Personalities in Provinces, unless the effect specifically targets a Personality (i.e., Bayushi Shunko's effect is allowed, Gempukku's is not). [Partial reversal, BC, 07 August 2008]

[edit] Yogo Asami

  • Her ability functions identically to Shosuro Maru's. [BC, 06 August 2008]

[edit] Yogo Junzo's Army

  • Name changed to The Shadowlands Horde.

[edit] Yojireru no Oni

  • Reads, "Yojireru no Oni 12F/4C -HR 13G 0PH Nonhuman • Shadowlands. Lose 10 Honor. May not be put under a Sensei. After this card enters play, target up to two Dead Personalities. This card copies an ability from each of them until it leaves play. Limited: Remove a non-printed ability from this card: Once per turn, target a Dead Personality. This card permanently copies an ability from the target." [Erratum, 17 February 2006]
  • When paying the cost to copy an ability, Yojijeru no Oni's existing ability is lost permanently. [ZF, 19 May 2005]

[edit] Yokatsu Sensei

  • The Follower must be from your hand. [VRD, 24 October 2000]

[edit] Yokuni Sensei

  • The Event re-enters the Province from which it came instead of being discarded from its resolution area. [BC, 07 August 2008]
  • Only delays Events that actually resolve. [Card text] Will not delay an Event that was prevented by Avoid Fate or otherwise did not resolve. [Netnews, 30 July 1999] However, it will delay the discarding of an Event that resolved but had its effects negated. [BC, 07 August 2008]
  • Delayed events may not be voluntarily discarded in the Dynasty Phase. [Netnews, 29 July 1999] But, they may be discarded using other card effects. [Netnews, 19 August 1999]
  • Affects all Events that "discard" or "destroy" themselves the turn they resolve (e.g., Inheritance).
  • Does not affect an Event if it enters play, including those that "stay in play" (e.g., Monsoon, Sacrifices For Our Futures). Nor does it affect one that is reshuffled back into the deck (e.g., Troll Raiders, Kachiko's Kiss) or replaces itself in the Province (e.g., A New Wall, Boundless Sight) upon resolving. [Netnews, 23 August 1999; BC, 07 August 2008]
  • Delayed Events do not resolve again next turn, even if otherwise exempt from the rule against a player resolving the same Event more than once per game. [December 1999; Clarified, BC, 07 August 2008]

[edit] Yori Sensei

  • Has no effect for a player that does not gain honor. [Reversal, see Instead.]

[edit] Yoritomo

  • Imperial Herald promo version (Pearl-style front w/ marbled green border) should not have the "Experienced" keyword. [Erratum to MRP, Imperial Herald promo, AH, 1 October 2000]

[edit] Yoritomo (Experienced)

  • Gives himself a +2F bonus. [Reversal, see With.]

[edit] Yoritomo (Experienced 2)

  • "You may not gain more than one Province per turn in this fashion" is absolute. You may not gain two in one turn by using a copy of Yoritomo (e.g., The Egg of P'an Ku). [DW, email, 29 October 1998]

[edit] Yoritomo Bokkai

[edit] Yoritomo Kajiko

[edit] Yoritomo Kamoto

  • Renamed from Kamoto. [MRP, Pearl Edition]

[edit] Yoritomo Kanbe

  • Renamed from Kanbe. [MRP, Pearl Edition]

[edit] Yoritomo Kitao (Experienced)

  • Effects referring to Bayushi Aramasu also apply to Yoritomo Aramasu. [Erratum, JA, 11 March 2002]

[edit] Yoritomo Masasue

  • Renamed from Masasue. [MRP, Fire and Shadow]

[edit] Yoritomo Sensei

  • The minimum cost of 1 only applies to Holdings whose costs are reduced. It does not make 0G holdings cost 1G. [ZF]
  • Reduces the amount of gold produced when a Stronghold is bowed, regardless of whether the gold is generated as the stronghold's base production, ability, or trait (e.g., it reduces the amount of gold produced by The Sacred Temple of the Phoenix for Shugenja Personality, but not a Shugenja Follower or a Spell at all). [ZF, 1 August 2000]

[edit] Yoritomo Takuni

  • Renamed from Takuni. [MRP, Fire and Shadow]

[edit] Yoritomo Tsuyu

  • Renamed from Tsuyu. [MRP, Pearl Edition]

[edit] Yoritomo Yukue

  • Her ability functions identically to Yoritomo Kajiko's.

[edit] Yoshun

  • Is not a Temple. [Keyword rule exception, JA, 18 April 2005]

[edit] Your Last Mistake

  • An action reacted to with this card loses any restriction upon Personalities of yours that it targets being "unbowed" (ie, To Do What We Must, Usurpation, etc). [BC, 06 August 2008]
