Make a Wish

Misdirection

• The timing point of Misdirection's action trigger is: during the other player's action's Required Targeting Step, in between the last required targeting in the constraints block (if any) and the first required targeting in the effects block (if any). Misdirection can be played even if there is no targeting in the constraints block or no targeting in the effects block. [Clarification, 8 May 2008]
• The effect of Misdirection's action allows its player to choose targets for any targeting described in the other action's effects block, including required targeting, optional targeting, and targeting of delayed effects. [Clarification, 8 May 2008]
• Targeting of the original action affected by Misdirection is still considered to come from the original targeter, not the player using Misdirection. [ZF, 24 September 2008]
• If a range of targets is allowed in the original action (e.g., "up to" a number of targets), the player using Misdirection may select any legal number specified by the original action (including zero, if legal). [CF, 10 September 2007]
